Mytime Active approached Excelsior to build a bespoke, 12-week weight management programme to support those who enrol, with behaviour change insight, nutritional advice and physical activity guidance.
Excelsior created a customer facing 12-week initiative, third party endorsed by Active IQ, which included both in-person and digital learning support. They also designed and delivered the accompanying train the trainer programme that established a master trainer team.
The master trainers were given exposure to the materials created, both in person and digitally. They had to demonstrate their confidence in delivery and competence around the content, through teach back sessions. Once signed off they then began the process of training up all the Mytime Active tutors who would roll out the syllabus across the estate.
By the end of the programme those that attended displayed the confidence and skills to make significant, sustainable and positive change in their lives.
We see the weight management programme as a great opportunity to support both our members and the wider community. This said, we did not have the internal skills or experience to be able to create the scheme on our own, therefore we brought in Excelsior.
From start to finish, the Excelsior team were outstanding to work with, always on hand to provide support and revisions as required. Both the digital education and in-person training resonated with the master trainer team, who were given the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to be able to deliver this to the wider tutor team.
This was not the first time we’d worked with Excelsior and it certainly won’t be our last, given they have the network and ability to support our needs.
