As part of a long standing partnership with Life Fitness, Excelsior will be delivering a series of bespoke digital workshops for Serco Leisure.
Serco provides leisure services on behalf of community leisure trusts, local authorities, universities, and sporting associations such as Sport England.
Facilities include national sports complexes, outdoor activity venues, community leisure centres, gyms, swimming pools, water sports, tennis courts, golf courses, and conference centres.
The workshop will discuss the use of technology, apps and wearables and their roles in enhancing engagement and improving physical activity levels for members at Serco Leisure managed facilities.
Launched in December, the training will teach gym staff how to encourage members to get the most out of technology and learn about upcoming trends in digital fitness.
Keith Smith, partner at Excelsior says “Working with Serco Leisure and Life Fitness to deliver this education will help facilities to understand the challenges often faced when implementing new technologies, and how best to interact with members in order to deliver against their needs.”
This is the latest in a line of education programmes create for Serco Leisure and will prominently feature Serco’s new exercise tracking app ‘More Fitness’ – which already has over 31000 registered users since launching in June 2018.
