David Lloyd Leisure (DLL) required an extended workshop based around up-skilling their newly appointed Activity Managers.
The Activity Manager is a brand-new role responsible for all activities including kids club, tennis, gym, and studio. This means the managers required up-skilling in understanding all the products available, applying the knowledge effectively, and then implementing their understanding into the business.
Excelsior supported DLL with the structure of the entire programme, this included virtual training and coaching of the presenters, as well as participating in delivery of bespoke sessions over the two-day workshop.
The training and coaching applied was designed to enable other workshop presenters to be able to create engaging learning experiences and deliver the materials required to further develop their learners.
Two days of activity manager training were delivered at Pride Park – Derby, and the feedback was extremely positive.
This project was about training others to be able to deliver competent presenters with a capacity to develop additional team members in the future.
By the time we started this project we’d been working closely with Excelsior for a while, meaning there was already established mutual trust.
Thanks to the support of Keith, we quickly determined the outcomes and strategy to be able to complete the project, efficiently and effectively.
As a result, we have begun commissioning the Excelsior team on a number of other projects as they have repeatedly demonstrated an ability to listen to our challenges and then to be able to create outstanding solutions.
